I made a video of our week in the studio so you can see how nerdy we are. =) Also, if you want to check out the latest photos from the studio, hop on over to my Facebook fan page.

April 24
The band and I just got back from another magical week at the studio in Caspar, CA working on our 2nd full-length album. There were guitars, banjos, pianos, farfisas, hammonds, mandolins, drums, basses of the electric kind AND the upright kind, crazy vintage microphones... oh, and hand claps. Don't forget the hand claps. We're getting a little more rockin' on this one. There's still some work to be done, but I'll keep you posted and very soon I'll be throwing up some photos from the week and a video, too! So exciting... =)

March 28
I'm so very excited to share with you that in three weeks, we'll be heading into the studio once again to begin work on the next album!! This is one of my favorite things about being a musician. We're returning to the magic of Caspar, CA -- where we recorded "The Night Turned to Song".... I can't wait to share this batch of songs with you. I'll be keeping you posted as it progresses.

January 13
2010, I am SO ready for you.
The pen (or the pencil, in my case) is way mightier than the sword, so they say. And I'm aiming to be as mighty as humanly possible. I'm thinking I've got at least 2/3 of the new album written, and I'm excited. I'm planning a 20-songs in 12-hours session next week, just to up the mightiness a little more.
And since I've felt like I've kinda left you out in the cold on this, I'm got a little sneak peak for ya. John and I did an acoustic show last weekend at the Bazaar Cafe in San Fran, and luckily, someone in the audience had their video camera rolling. So just for you, here it is, brand new song, "Lighthouse".

November 1
Whoah. November 1? Really? Time feels like it's in fast-forward... Well, the band and I have been in the rehearsal studio, hammering out new tunes like its nobody's business. It's sounding good, and I'm getting excited for the time when we hole up in the studio again to get these babies recorded.
Until then, however, if you are curious about what's to come... I'm doing a couple of solo shows in which I'm gonna bust out a lot of this new stuff. Friday, November 13 at the Bazaar Cafe in SF, I'm doing an "In the Round" with 2 fabulous songwriters, Matt Langlois & Drew Pearce. It's at 7pm. Check the Gigs page for more details.. and more shows coming up in December!
Also... I'm on a Christmas album! OK, I know what you're thinking. But this album is a totally rad, danceably funky holiday album. I sang choir-style on the remix version of "Deck the Halls". You can listen to the tracks, and check it out more here: thisisyourbrainonxmas.com

July 9
It's here. The much anticipated, second installment of the Cyndi Harvell video blog series. Actually, this one's more like a short film. The biggest little summer blockbuster of the year. Pacific Northwest Tour #1. Everything you want to know (or don't want to know) about Cyndi and the band on tour. =)
AND... if that weren't news enough... we've got a super exciting gig that fell onto our plate just yesterday -- we're opening up for the Arc Angels at Slim's in San Francisco next Saturday, July 18th! You can visit the Slim's website for tickets or more info. 9pm show. Come out and help us make it a spectacular show so we're invited back!
Aaaaannnnddd.... Thanks for voting for us at The Deli Magazine. We tied with one of the other bands for Artist of the Month, and they are featuring us on their site this month via the banner at the top of the page. See how much your support matters! Much love to you all.
